Client: Network Rail
This project entailed the provision of a new Principal Supply Point and Signalling Power Distribution Equipment at Winchburgh on Scotland’s busiest rail route (Edinburgh to Glasgow) and was one of SVM’s Glasgow’s early, larger scale signalling projects to be undertaken directly for Network Rail. Works included surveys and design of the pumping station installation; PSP, CCTV and telecomms design; design check of new transformer equipment; MS146 power supplies; and yard lighting design. SVM were also responsible for liaison and management of subcontractors undertaking GI and topographical survey works on various elements of the project.
